Agfel started as a fertilizer manufacturer. Our research began in 2015 through partnerships with the University of Ruhuna and Uva Wellassa University, and by 2023 that research had turned into Hybrid Nitro and Hybrid Bandi, Sri Lanka's first fertilizers built for drone application.

Along the way we learned something that mattered more than any single product: the hardest part of fertilizer manufacturing is not the chemistry. It is proving a formula works outside the lab, building the equipment to produce it at scale, and documenting it well enough to bring to market.

We have now moved from selling fertilizer to sharing that process. Agfel works with fertilizer manufacturers and agribusinesses as a consulting partner, bringing the same research methods, field trial discipline and by-product knowledge we used to build our own products.
